Where to Find Your Browser Extensions

Some extensions quietly steal your cashback. Here's how to open the extensions list in every major browser, so you can switch off the ones that get in the way before you buy.

Why an Extension Can Cost You Cashback

An extension (or add-on) is a small program bolted onto your browser to add features. Most are harmless. But when it comes to cashback, several kinds can quietly take yours: ad blockers, "helper" plugins for AliExpress and the like, extensions from rival cashback services, and even some antivirus tools. They do it by stripping or overwriting the tracking cookie — the tiny file the store reads to know we sent you. No cookie, no commission, nothing to pay you.

The fix is simple: open your browser's extensions list, and switch off (or remove) anything you don't recognise or don't need before you shop. Below is where that list lives in each browser.

You don't have to delete anything for good. Toggle the extension off for the purchase, buy through us, then switch it back on if you like. The cashback only needs a clean window at the moment you click through.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Extensions → Manage Extensions, or type chrome://extensions into the address bar.
  3. Each extension has a toggle — slide it off, or click Remove to delete it.

Safari

  1. Open Safari → Settings from the menu bar, or press ⌘ ,.
  2. Go to the Extensions tab.
  3. Uncheck an extension to switch it off, or select it and click Uninstall to remove it.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (three lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Add-ons and themes → Extensions, or type about:addons into the address bar.
  3. Use the toggle to disable an extension, or open the ⋯ menu and choose Remove.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Extensions → Manage Extensions, or type edge://extensions into the address bar.
  3. Switch off the toggle under an extension, or click Remove to delete it.

Opera

  1. Open the menu, then Extensions → Extensions, or press Ctrl+Shift+E.
  2. Find the extension you want to switch off.
  3. Click Disable to switch it off, or Remove to delete it from the browser.
Not sure which one is the culprit? Ad blockers and other cashback or coupon extensions are the usual suspects. If in doubt, switch them all off for the purchase, click through from our page, and turn back on the ones you miss.
